I want to answer the question who is James MacNeil. It’s an odd question for me to answer personally, because in my opinion, I’m a great guy.

Who is James MacNeil? Seriously speaking, I’ve been a coach for about 10 years now. At the recording date of this, I’ve been a speaker for 18 years and I’m one of those guys who wasn’t supposed to make it. I have ADHD. I wrestled with learning challenges. I could not read until the age of 21. I’ve had to learn as an adult.

When I was a child, I had to go to speech therapy, because I could not articulate a simple thought, which is kind of fascinating that my career is now speaking and writing and that’s what I do. But my past has not hindered my present. I’ve been able to, through coaching, helping me though the help of others and really working hard at figuring out how to have a great life. I’ve been, by the grace of God, able to transform what looked like a disastrous beginning into a life that works.

I’ve been, as I mentioned, as a speaker for 18 years and a coach for about 10 and I worked with major corporations. I’ve been able to help individuals, both professional athletes, corporate leaders, and many people in many roles to take their lives in the next level. Part of what’s blessed me is I’ve done the journey. When someone says, “How did I get out of this gutter?” I know.

I’ve been in that gutter. I know the path. I’ve seen it. I’ve taken them in little steps and so I’m a little bit blessed in that. I’ve had a unique journey which gives me a unique insight on what a person might be challenged with. But, that’s my unique story.

You’ll use your unique story as a coach to be able to help others, whether or not you’re sharing your story, you have deep resources of experiences, things that you’ve seen, things that you’ve felt, things that you’ve gone through that will make you the best effective coach that you possibly can be.

I want to work with you as I’m continuing to work on me and I hope you’ll continue to help me to take our coaching to the next level, because I believe through coaching we can make a profound impact on the lives of others. Hopefully that helps give you a little introduction of who I am and what I do. And hopefully, I’ll be able to get to know you and well be able to take our games to the next level.
